As the hottest part of summer began, rising temperatures created demanding conditions for workshop production. Faced with concentrated orders and tight schedules, Longxin Drying’s frontline employees have remained at their posts, applying careful workmanship to maintain product quality and delivery progress. The company has prioritised people and safe production, implementing a range of heat-protection measures to support both employee wellbeing and ongoing operations.

Working Through the Heat to Maintain Quality and Delivery

Operating equipment continuously releases heat in the drying equipment workshop. Wearing the required safety helmets and workwear, employees carry out equipment machining, parameter adjustment, finished-product inspection and other production tasks in an orderly manner. Even as their clothing becomes soaked with sweat, they remain attentive to process standards and quality controls.

These dedicated employees are a valuable asset to Longxin Drying. Their sense of responsibility helps ensure that drying equipment orders are delivered on schedule and provides a firm foundation for the company’s operations.

A Comprehensive Approach to Heat Protection

While employees work hard to fulfil production commitments, Longxin Drying puts their health and safety first and treats every employee as part of the family. The company has implemented a systematic set of measures to protect frontline teams from the heat.

1. Staggered Scheduling to Reduce Heat Exposure

Work plans are adjusted according to daytime temperatures in line with high-temperature production safety requirements. More frequent rotation and rest breaks during the hottest periods help prevent fatigue and excessive working hours, reducing risks at their source.

2. Improved Workshop Facilities

High-power industrial fans and ice have been added to improve ventilation and cooling. Dedicated air-conditioned rest areas allow employees to cool down and recover during breaks before returning to work.

3. Ready Access to Cooling Supplies

Mung bean soup, salted soda, ice and other supplies are available at designated points in the workshop to help replenish fluids and electrolytes. Heat-relief supplies, including Huoxiang Zhengqi preparations, cooling balm and sun-protection products, are also kept on hand for heat-related discomfort.

4. Regular Safety Training and Emergency Preparedness

Regular heat-safety education and heat-illness emergency drills familiarise employees with practical workshop precautions and strengthen their ability to help themselves and colleagues.

Practical Summer Precautions in the Workshop

1. Drinking Habits

The workshop guidance encourages small, frequent servings of salted soda or mung bean soup rather than drinking large amounts of iced or plain water at once. It recommends replenishing electrolytes when sweating heavily and limiting the stomach discomfort associated with very cold drinks.

2. Appropriate Workwear

Employees must wear breathable cotton workwear rather than short sleeves or shorts. Exposed skin can be injured by hot equipment or ultraviolet radiation. Workers should change out of sweat-soaked clothing into dry workwear in the rest area when needed.

3. Work and Rest Cycles

Employees working for extended periods near high-temperature processes must follow the rotation system. Anyone experiencing dizziness, weakness, palpitations, excessive sweating or other discomfort should stop work, move to the air-conditioned rest area and promptly notify the team leader.

4. Meals and Rest

Employees are encouraged to avoid starting work on an empty stomach, limit oily and very spicy food, and get sufficient sleep. Lunch breaks should be taken in a ventilated, air-conditioned rest area rather than resting against equipment.

5. Responding to Heat Illness

The workshop guidance calls for promptly moving a colleague with symptoms such as facial flushing, nausea, vomiting or confusion to a cool, ventilated place, loosening the collar of their workwear, providing a cool drink containing salt, and immediately reporting serious cases to management for medical treatment.

Coordinating Safety and Production

During periods of intense heat, managers conduct continuous on-site inspections to identify equipment and workplace hazards. Employees follow safe operating procedures and heat-protection precautions, keeping both safety and production firmly in focus. Coordinated scheduling across the organisation helps production tasks progress steadily.

Together, the team will build a stronger future for Longxin Drying.
