Longxin at CIBF 2026 in Shenzhen

CIBF 2026 concluded in Shenzhen on May 15 after three days of technical exchange across the battery industry. Longxin Smart Equipment exhibited at booth 8T051, presenting process equipment and engineering concepts for battery materials from laboratory development through large-scale production.

Visitors discussed lithium iron phosphate, sodium-ion materials, solid-state electrolyte systems, electrode slurry preparation, spray drying, thermal treatment and battery recycling. These applications have different material characteristics, but they share several common production challenges: particle-size control, contamination control, consistent powder morphology, dust management and stable scale-up.

Nano grinding from laboratory trials to production scale

Longxin presented the WSP-1 laboratory pin-type nano bead mill for material development and process validation, together with the WST-600 turbine pin-type dual-power nano bead mill for higher-throughput production. The laboratory system supports small-batch testing where researchers need to compare formulations, solvents, dispersants and grinding conditions before scale-up.

For production applications, the grinding system can be configured around slurry viscosity, target particle size, media specification, cooling demand and contamination-control requirements. This is particularly important for advanced battery materials where excessive temperature rise or unwanted metal contamination can affect downstream performance.

F600 centrifugal atomization for battery powder production

Spray drying is widely used in battery-material manufacturing to transform precursor slurries into controlled powder or granulated feed for downstream thermal processing. Longxin displayed its F600 high-performance centrifugal atomization technology, which is designed for stable atomization and continuous production.

For materials such as LFP precursors, ternary precursors and other battery powders, spray-dryer design must consider slurry solids, viscosity, target particle morphology, outlet moisture and subsequent calcination requirements. Longxin combines atomizer selection with tower air-flow design, powder collection and process controls to create a production route suited to the specific material.

Closed and automated powder feeding

Longxin also highlighted online powder-feeding and suction systems for battery-material plants. These systems can be configured for bulk bags or small bags and can integrate conveying, metering and negative-pressure powder induction. The objective is to reduce open handling, improve feeding consistency and support cleaner automated production.

In a complete line, powder feeding must be coordinated with mixers, mills, reactors, dryers and downstream equipment. Accurate material dosing and closed transfer are especially important when multiple powders are used in controlled formulations.

Battery recycling and thermal processing

For end-of-life lithium batteries and production scrap, Longxin presented process concepts for controlled crushing, thermal treatment, grinding, screening and separation. The line is designed to recover valuable fractions such as copper, aluminum and black mass while reducing unnecessary manual handling.

Thermal processing can also be integrated downstream where recovered black mass or other materials require further treatment. The exact recycling route must be selected according to feed condition, battery chemistry, local safety requirements and the intended recovered products.

Complete EPC solutions for battery material plants

Beyond individual machines, Longxin provides engineering support for integrated production lines. A typical project may include process evaluation, equipment selection, line layout, conveying, utilities, dust control, automation and centralized controls. The goal is to make each process step work as part of one coordinated system rather than as isolated equipment.

At CIBF 2026, many customer discussions focused on moving from pilot production to larger commercial capacity. Early-stage testing and process data are valuable because they help define equipment size, energy input, drying conditions and material-handling requirements before the final plant is built.

Supporting next-generation battery materials

Battery manufacturing continues to diversify across lithium-ion, sodium-ion and solid-state technologies. The processing equipment must therefore remain flexible enough to handle new material systems while maintaining stable quality and safe operation.

Longxin will continue developing grinding, drying, thermal processing, conveying and recycling solutions for battery-material producers and engineering partners worldwide, with a focus on scalable processes and complete-line integration.
