The DWD conveyor dryer carries a distributed material bed through hot-air drying zones on a mesh belt. It suits products that allow air to pass through the bed, including suitable slices, granules and preformed wet materials. Some fine powders, pastes and wet masses need extrusion or other forming before they can be processed in this arrangement.
Belt type, bed depth, zone airflow and belt speed are selected from feed dimensions, permeability, moisture and temperature limits.
